Nissan Announces LEAF Lease-Only Battery Replacement Program

Since it launched in 2010, everyone from industry analysts to electric car advocates, journalists and even politicians have tried to work out just how much it costs to replace the lithium-ion battery pack in the all-electric Nissan LEAF. Yesterday, Nissan gave an answer: approximately $100 per month, for as long as you keep the car, under its new Battery Replacement Program.

On Saturday, April 27 between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., Nissan of Downtown L.A. will host “Clean Get Away.” The event will offer free food and refreshments to all in attendance, and those who choose to take a Nissan LEAF out for a test drive will receive a free gift card valued at $20 from Real Food Daily, a local restaurant chain serving “100-percent organic plant-based cuisine.”
