Detailed Price Information for Tesla Roadster

The numbers for the Tesla Roadster are audacious: Zero to 60 in 3.7 seconds. 245 miles per charge. And zero tailpipe emissions.

Oh yeah—and a base price tag of $109,000 before incentives. The iconic electric sportscar can be leased for as little at $1,658 per month (with a deposit of $9,900).

The Roadster Sport, which shaves a fraction of second off the zero-to-60 performance, goes for $128,500.

As with all cars running on electricity and an electric motor, the Tesla Roadster's operating cost per mile can be several times lower than a comparable combustion-engined vehicle.

Until Audi commits to production of the $160,000 etron sports car, the Tesla Roadster had no real competition outside custom hand-built electric models such as the Venturi Fetish, which sells for about $400,000.
