Delphi Unveils Range-Extending HVAC System for Plug-In Vehicles

Delphi Automotive is developing an advanced HVAC system that could be used to extend the range of electric vehicles by up to 10 percent. Delphi aims to commercialize its range-extending HVAC system by 2015.

Nissan's LEAF-to-Home System Could Power a House for Two Days

In a recent demonstration at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show, Nissan showed how its LEAF could power an entire home by being connected to a power control system that's hooked up to the home's electrical system. Nissan says that this system could power a typical home for two full days using the LEAF's battery pack.
